Yet here I am writing this while watching the CMA awards (TiVo’d of course). Would I be watching this if I was still in the Bay Area? No.
But yes, Nashville is more than about music and talent than just the genre of Country Music. In this day and age of genre busting bands and music, you could also argue that country music doesn’t really exist any more.
