Is This the End?

Wow, it’s been over a week since my last post. Fears wash over me like fleeting nightmares. Have I lost the will to write? Has the blog run its cycle and is now dead? Do I no longer have things to say?

Let’s see: no, I hope not, no. I will admit that this is still a blog in search of a purpose beyond leaving digital breadcrumbs of my life. And I’m still OK with that being the only purpose. But as with all things in my life, I want to press on and see how I can grow it in impact to me, my friends and family, and the world. I don’t want a zillion followers, make money, or get me hired, but I would like its impact to be more than selfish reflection. Time, as always, is the best measurement.

So in this restart, I offer you one of the things that kept me way too busy this last week: TEDx Nashville. My company sponsored it and as part of the package we were able to provide a video that would be shown before the talks started. So I exercised my marketing muscles and put together the Mercury story. Here it is:

Mercury Story 2014.mp4 from Mercury Intermedia on Vimeo.

I’d love to know what your thoughts are around this. Since many of you don’t know much about Mercury, I value your input. Please leave a comment (or send me an email) about what you think Mercury does, what we do well, and why someone would want us to build their app.

Thanks!

  1. I got the impression that Mercury will design and build trendy, award winning, best of breed mobile apps for your business.

I’m not 100% sure that trendy is a good thing in this context, but I think it is.

Oh, and it’s important to you all and you’re proud of the fact that you’re in Nashville (and presumably proud that you’re not another Silicon Valley company).

I’m probably reading too much into it 😉
