Subtle, yet aggressive. Yes, my favorite wine description also applies to weather. Came home tonight with daylight rapidly waning, but with a crisp blue sky as the backdrop to an auburn sunset. The trees were rustling their tinged leaves trying to keep up with the hardy crickets that survived the first frost. My trusty companion Doodle did his Chihuahua prance on our long route, letting the moist yet chilled air fill our lungs. Evenings like this are made for scrapbooks and Norman Rockwell paintings, not flesh and blood experiences. I forgive the brutal hot and muggy summer, forgive the mosquitos that tormented us, and forgive the pollen and chiggers that love to make me cry, itch, and sneeze. Just one night.
