I’m an addict. I admit it. One of there reasons I gravitated to the Silicon Valley is that I love the voluminous flow of new ideas. And I often define myself as someone who loves waking up in the morning to do something that has never been done before.
So here I am at the Keen Digital Summit here in Nashville and I find myself enjoying talking to some of the exhibitors that are here. One of them was Batch Nashville, a company that gathers locally produced items and ships them as a gift box. Great idea, and I enjoyed talking to the owner about revenue, user acquisition, potential partnerships and other topics of small biz growth. Yet another company uses visual social media and aggregates them into display pieces for big screen or remote screen viewing. I think it has potential and I enjoyed talking with the founder about his story and what challenges they are facing. It just gets my blood going.
In my home life, I find similar outlets in ways to live and raise a family. I can’t just do things like they’ve been done before. Drives my wife crazy sometimes, but her ever-changing decor is the creative flip side of my intellectual pursuits. Which is one of the many reasons I love her! (Shameless lead-in to my 7th anniversary post tomorrow)
